Originally from Kalispell, Montana, Fernie moved to Anchorage, Alaska in November 2011. Fernie graduated cum laude from the University of Great Falls with her Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies in 2012. In 2014, she earned her Master of Science in Organizational Management with a concentration in criminal justice, graduating with honors for having maintained a 4.0 grade point average. When she wasn’t hitting the books, she enjoyed narrating text books on tape for visually impaired students, kayaking at Glacier National Park, and spending time at her family’s Montana ranch.
Fernie joined the firm in 2016, bringing with her nine years of paralegal and investigator experience in areas of law including workers’ compensation, family, employment, personal injury, civil litigation, maritime, criminal defense, and fair housing. In her free time, she can often be found enjoying arts and crafts with her daughter, checking out the bands at Tap Root, or otherwise exploring all Alaska has to offer.
